Get Sketchy Challenge 16

Love this sketch and love working with these colors. Just because is from Wild Card cartridge.

25 Days of Christmas

This is my project for Christmas for the grandkids. I worked hard on it for a long time in my mind. I knew it had to work. The guys at work supplied the boxes. And I think it turned out pretty well. Thanks to the Designer Calendar cartridge for the Cricut. Saved me so much time.

The end of a great long weekend

Here it is Sunday afternoon and my great weekend is almost over. We did go to CS yesterday and got to see the grandkids and took Harley out to lunch with us. She is such a great kid. We did have a good time. At least I did. I love to go shopping with her. We have so many of the same interests.
Back to work again tomorrow. Walking again at 6 with Robin. A full week ahead.

Just Buggin Challenge #13

This is my entry in the Just Buggin Challenge #13 Sew it.
I used the Christmas Cheer Cartridge and did faux stitching on the HO HO HO with stickles. Hard to see in the picture but looks pretty good in person.
Thanks for looking.
Also entering this card in the Cricut Card Challenge #3. This challenge was to do a Christmas card in pink and green and white. I love these colors, not traditional Christmas, but I really like the way they look together.

Thanksgiving Day

It has been a pretty good Thanksgiving day. We spent it with Mom. We had sandwiches and crackers and veggies for lunch. Nothing fancy but also no cleanup. Then Mom had made some peanut butter balls and I got to dip them in the chocolate. Kind of fun. I kept from eating any. But when she used the leftover chocolate to make peanut clusters I couldn't resist. BUT. I only had one. I still think I am doing pretty good. Haven't gained any weight yet. But Christmas isn't here yet. Just have to keep up with the early morning walks with Robin. I kind of missed going this morning. I hope she is having a good day with her family. She was nervous but really looking forward to it I think.

Thanksgiving Eve!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving day. We will be going to Moms and spending the day with her. Everyone else is going different places.. I guess you could call Thanksgiving Day, the in-law day. We always spent the day with my in-laws and Christmas with my parents. Now Becci is spending time with her in-laws and hopefully with us on Christmas. Don't know why it works that way but it seems to every year. I miss seeing them but I should be able to see them this weekend. And tomorrow Mom and I are going to work on their advent calendar. Something I always wanted to do and decided with my Cricut and help from Mom I can do it this year. Will post pictures when complete. My ideas are big but I think I can make it work.

Got a card this week from my newly re-connected cousin in Washington. It's awesome to finally get to know these people that I've known all my life but families drifted apart so long ago.

Thanksgiving week!

It's Monday again. But it's going to be a short week. I am going to have 4 days off . A once a year thing. I am just going to spend time in the basement creating. Following some blogs with some awesome challenges. I love challenges. They make me think and create. and try new things that I wouldn't otherwise try.
Like this morning, I met Robin at the school track and we walked the track 4 times.. a mile ya know. Odd thing about this was it was 6 am in the morning. It was so cold and windy. But I did it. She kept pushing me for that last time around. But tonight I am very tired and she wants to go again in the morning.

Triple Whammy-Challenge 12

This is my attempt at the Triple Whammy challenge on 'Just Buggin'. This is my first attempt at a challenge. Circle and scallop were cut with Mini Monograms and Happy Thanksgiving was cut from Wild Card. It's for my 15 yr old grandaughter so used some stickles for the bling.

November 20, 2009

Well, it's almost Thanksgiving. SOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOOOOOON
I can't believe this year is almost over. It seems like I have been with Weight Watchers forever!
I finally lost 70 lbs. and feel pretty good about it. People around town have been noticing finally. They have no idea how good it makes someone feel to have people notice. I'm sure some don't like to talk about it or well, I don't know why they would. I love to tell people how I've lost the weight.
It has been really easy up to now. They quit having meetings here in town, that was hard. I really needed the meetings to keep the accountability up and the encouragment going. So I have tried for about a month and a half to go to Colorado Springs for meetings. and they help but I just don't have the will power to go every Saturday. I do enjoy my time off from work and don't like spending every weekend in the city. Seems I can't go without shopping and that just costs more than I want to spend this close to Christmas. So I am going to try to maintain my weight as it is right now until January. I know I can make it through the holidays without gaining (much anyway).
Maybe blogging will help keep my mind on my weight and not gain so much that I have to buy back my fat clothes from the second hand store. no way is that going to happen!!!!
